Mike Fentress in the service department is excellent. Didn't try to up sell on services, straightforward, honest guy. Not the least expensive place to get your car serviced (no dealer is), but service is top notch, can get a loaner car for the day, and communication is excellent, plus the added benefit of Acura certified service and master technicians working on your car.Took my car here for service last week, and am coming back for second service soon!
I'm from out of town moving my daughter to college. My OEM battery (purchased 4/2015) completely died and did not accept a charge. After getting a jump from AAA and drove to the nearest Acura (Kearny Mesa Acura), I arrived at 5:15 p.m. as a result of bad traffic. Although the service center remains open until 6:00 for drop offs, the service representative told me all the technicians have gone home for the day. At first, the service rep didn't think he can help us and told us to come back the following day, he understood the inconvenience because we would not be able to turn off the ignition without having to re-jump start the car. That would also derail our moving plans the following day. The rep decided to check the service bays and was able to track down a technician that was still there who was willing to help. Even though I didn't have the paper work from my home based Acura for the purchase of the battery. Kearny Mesa Acura replaced it for free based on the OEM tags. Normally they would have to contact the installing dealership and get the paperwork to authorize the work. They are getting a five star from me for going above and beyond the normal procedures because they understood our dilemma. Thank you Kearny Mesa Acura... keep up the good work and customer service!

On a recent trip to San Diego from Phoenix we had an issue with our 2014 Acura MDX which required it to be towed to the dealership. The car was dropped off late in the evening and by the time I called at 700 AM the following morning Tom Mendoza and the Service Team already had the car in the service department diagnosing the problem. It was quickly diagnosed and fixed under warranty. Tom sent their courtesy van to our hotel eliminating the need for me to arrange transportation to pick-up the car. I was on the road and back at my hotel by 1030 AM. Thanks to the outstanding service staff at Kearney Mesa Acura our vacation was not impacted. Kudos to Tom and the Service Team.
Absolutely Sterling service here. My new Acura is still on warranty and this dealer has made minor things so smooth.
Tim was my salesman. He is very accommodating. I was thinking getting the tlx 2018 but decided to get the ilx instead. He is very professional and very helpful. I don't know anything about cars and he made sure I've understood every step and process. He was very thorough as well. And he also gave me a great deal on the ilx. So if anyone is planning to get an acura, ask for Tim! He will definitely give you the best deal there is.
